About Me

Many of you have asked me to write a little more about myself. I didn't initially think that would be necessary - After all, I figured that all of my dates would be friends of friends, so they would already KNOW something about me! Not true, as it turns out. So here are a few random things:
  • My name is Julie
  • I'm 27 years old
  • I live just south of Minneapolis, MN
  • I am originally from a suburb of Chicago
  • I work in the theatre education field
  • I am watching "Arrested Development" as I'm typing this
  • In my spare time I like reading, listening to music, going to aquariums/zoos, going to Zumba classes, and playing board games and video games
  • I like to travel as much as I can
  • I'm addicted to Diet Coke and working too much
  • My favorite animals are jellyfish

What I'm hoping to get out of this project:

My ultimate goal is to meet someone in whom I'm interested, who is interested in me, and develop a relationship. That very well might not happen, though, so I have some secondary goals. I am hoping to expand my understanding of what I'm looking for in a relationship by meeting people that I wouldn't normally consider as romantic possibilities. I'm also looking forward to going to new coffee shops/restaurants/places in the cities that I wouldn't usually frequent.

  1. Hi Julie, I have found ur blog a great read so far. I'm from London and I wrote about a similar experience in the blind date marathon. I think I learnt a lot about blind dates that you should find interesting. If I can think of anyone I know near you then il drop you a line.

Look forward to your next post

  2. Hi Julie, I just saw you on KARE11. I think your idea is so fun, brave, and very adventurous. I can't wait to read more of your blogs. I'm already a fan!

I wish you the best of luck and boatloads of fun!! I'm 47 and single. I wish I knew someone to set up with you, but if I knew a decent single man, I'd probably date him myself. The single ones I know...even the younger ones closer to your age...have way too much baggage for a nice girl like you.
